About the Plant

OJSC "Donetsk Metal Rolling Plant" is one of the most advanced and flexible enterprises among Ukrainian rolling mills. The rolling mill shop was commissioned on the 10th of March 1958. Pipe shop was put into service in October 1961.

The plant is permanently engaged in rehabilitation and upgrading in order to increase its production capacities and widen range of products. The products manufactured at the plant meet the requirements of both domestic and international standards which is why it has a great run both in the national and global market. In 2004 the quality management system EN ISO 9001:2000 was successfully implemented.

Currently, the assortment of steel products comprises over 150 die-rolled section and bars. The rolling mill shop produces rolled section steel and structural shapes from purchased steel square billets. Promptly responding to the customers needs and filling limited orders the rolling mill shop produces up to 175 000 tn of rolled products per year.

The pipe shop manufactures cast iron sewer-pipe drains with dia 50 and 100 mm on multiple-rotor De Levaud casting machine "Lipetsk-2M", permanent-mould casting of molded pieces for these sewer-pipes, shaped iron casting in wide assortment. Cast iron is manufactured in cupola furnace with capacity of 3 tn per hour. After rebuilding and modernization of outdated facilities the plant has started production of new products such as hardware detailes for mine tunnels rakers (clamps, planks, angles, stud-bolts, spikes), metal structures, metalware. All these articles are produced from the plant's own rolling-mill products. All above mentioned allows to make the best use of shop areas and press-forging plant.

The major sale market for rolled metal products is presented by integrated iron-and-steel works and machine-building plants of Ukraine, Russia, Georgia, Latvia, Lithuania as well as England, Ireland and Israel. We have been working on domestic market for 48 years while our international market experience is 15 years.
